The 1st Annual Young Marines Celebration Everyone in attendance had an incredible 1st annual Young Marines celebration on Friday July 29th at the Emerson Middle School. 45 students graduated with the rank of Young Marines private. It was a privilege for all of these proud parents to cheer on their child as they showed off their abilities during the very impressive drill presentation.

Free Summer Food Distribution Program Mayor Brian P. Stack and the Union City Board of Education invite you to participate as the following sites will be open in the Union City School District for the free distribution of summer food. Any students under the age of 18 can partake. Breakfast and Lunch will be served from June 27th-August 31st. This is an excellent opportunity to remain nourished during these summer months.
The Art of Quilling The students were able to learning the art of paper quilling. It requires considerable patience and dedication. This was an excellent activity for them to engage in as the Union City School District continues to promote the arts in their curriculum.

Congratulations to the E-Sports Gamers Club One of Emerson Middle School’s newest programs, our E-Sports Gamers Club, received their official E-Sports jackets. The students were very proud to be a part of Emerson’s first E-Sports team. This is truly an amazing accomplishment for them. Keep up the awesome work gamers.
Fleet Week 2022 Field Trip The Union City High School and José Martí STEM Academy JROTC Program & the Emerson Middle School Young Marines Program visited the USS Intrepid Aircraft Carrier and had a surprise visit by the USS Bataan during Fleet Week 2022. It was quite the educational experience for all the students and staff who were in attendance.
