Emerson Middle School enjoyed the Union City High School’s FAPA Showcase and our very own band/choir students showcased their talents as well! A truly outstanding job by everyone involved.

Students in Ms. Posluszny’s 6th grade class were able to use geometric reasoning and physics to determine why only certain configurations of three dimensional surfaces would hold the gingerbread house together and also determine the informational steps and processes of putting together the gingerbread houses.

Emerson Middle School's Bilingual students went caroling throughout the school to spread some Christmas cheer! Thank you to Mr. Dixon for playing the guitar and Ms. Ramirez, Ms. Rincon, and Ms. Camacho for preparing the students.

It is indeed the most wonderful time of the year, so please join us by supporting the talents and dedication of the Emerson Band and Choir insider the Gym at the Emerson Middle School. It will be an exciting evening with amazing music. Admission is free.

The Emerson Middle School would like to congratulate our ESP of the Year, Ms. Maryrose Gonzalez and our Teacher of the Year, Ms. Jackeline Cisneros. Both staff members have always gone above and beyond for our students. They have contributed greatly to the students' education and emotional support.

Our Union City Young Marines from the Emerson Middle School participated in a school-wide battle of the grades food drive. The advisors, Ms. Flores, Mrs. Hammer and Mr. Velazquez were pleased to have the help of the Union City Young Marines team who assembled boxes of food which were then gifted to our deserving families for thanksgiving.

Emerson Middle School celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by taking a trip around the Wonders of Latin America. Our bilingual students presented their research of the most interesting and monumental areas of Latin American countries. Meanwhile, our visiting students traveled with their passports in hand discovering the wonders of Latin America.
